Tomorrow Japanese fans get the chance to see a female world title double header. The lesser of those fights is a WBO female Minimumweight title fight between defending champion Kumiko Seeser Ikehara (7-1-2, 3), who is defending her belt for the third time, and Momoko Kanda (9-7-2, 3), who is challenging for her first world title.
Today those fighters weighed in and both made weight for the bout which will take place at the Korakuen Hall tomorrow.
Coming in to this one Ikehara has sounded confident of retaining her title and is looking to do so with out a headclash being involved, after her last two bouts were marred with clashes. As for Kanda she is looking to show her improvement as a fighter and take the most of this relatively unexpected opportunity.
Although the bout is a world title fight it has certainly taken a back seat to the show's main event which takes place just 10lbs higher but features the always popular Tomomi Takano (8-1, 5), who has once again stolen the headlines at a weigh in with her choice of clothing.
