Earlier today Vesti.kz reported that unbeaten Kazakh fighter Kanat Islam (25-0, 20) [Ислам Канат] has had his return to the ring "delayed indefinitely".
The unbeaten Kazakh, who last fought in September 2017, has apparently not reacted well to treatment for his injuries and has had to change plans from a March return, to an April return to the current status of an indefinite delay.
Vesti have reported that that there has been complications in regards to the injury or his foot and that the treatment hasn't been effective enough for him to begin training in March. Sadly it appears that the longer he is out of the ring the less successful any kind of comeback will be, for the once world ranked Kazakh contender.
The fighter had previously stated that he plans to box until he's 40, but given the long delays in his comeback there is a chance that will just call it a day and hang them up if treatment doesn't begin to solve the issues he's having.
