Tomorrow Japanese fight fans at the Korakuen Hall, as well as subscribers to the Boxingraise service, will get the chance to see the professional debut of Kaiki Yuba (0-0) [湯場 海樹], the son of the popular Tadashi Yuba, who will be facing Thai visitor Petchmahalert Eminent Air (0-4).
Today those two men weighed in for their contest, which was arrnged above the Lightweight limit.
Yuba came in at 136¼lbs, a weight that suggests his first few years will be at Lightweight, but that his future likely lies at Light Welterweight, if not higher. Given he is 5'10" and still a relative baby at the age of 18.
The Thai visitor came in at a career lowest weight of 135¾lbs, and it seems clear that he is more of a Lightweight than a Welterweight, the weight that he began his career at. Despite being at a career lowest he looked in good shape and it may well be that he will drop further as his career progresses.
For fans wanting towatch this bout, it will be aired live on Boxingraise along with the rest of the show!
