Unbeaten Thai fighter Kaewfah Tor Buamas (19-0, 13) was likely hoping to come to the attention of international fight fans on September 11th, when he was penciled in to fight popular Australian Michael Katsidis. Sadly however it appears that Kaewfah won't be getting his hands on Katsidis after all.
Instead of fighting "The Great" we'll instead see Kaewfah battle Andrew Wallace (10-5-1, 6), a 37 year old who has lost 5 of his last 6 bouts.
Sadly for Kaewfah it appears that he has gone from getting a chance to alert fans to his his name to merely getting another fight against a non-descript opponent who will do very little for the profile of the 29 year old Thai. Thankfully for Katsidis however it will save him from taking more shots to the head, and may well help push him into a happy retirement, rather than continue on a career that should really have ended a while back.
Whilst Katsidis is off the card we do still have the show's other main bout, a 12 round Super Bantamweight contest between Chinese star Qiu Xiao Jun and Diarh Gabutan, with Jun risking his lofty WBC ranking and the WBC Silver title against Gabutan.
