This coming week sees WBC Minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin (42-0, 17) [วันเฮง ไก่ย่างห้าดาวยิม] defending his title against mandatory challenger Saul Juarez (23-4-1, 12), of Mexico.
Yesterday, ahead of the world title bout on Tuesday, Juarez took part in his public work out in Thailand and looked like a hungry fighter looking to prove a point with a very impressive work out that showed off not only his incredible conditioning but also his fantastic boxing ability.
According to Thai sources Juarez, though an interpreter, explained that he was finding conditions in Thailand very hot and was having some trouble breathing due to the heat of the air, however he's been getting used to the condition feels his weight is on point, and he's only just above the limit, and that he will be leaving Thailand with a title. Amazingly the same Thai source also suggested that Juarez believes he will score a knockout in the first 6 rounds, something that would be very impressive given that he's far from a knockout puncher and Wanheng doesn't look like a particularly fragile fighter.
