On New Year's Eve fight fans will get the chance to see a rematch between WBA Flyweight champion Kazuto Ioka (18-1, 10) and former champion Juan Carlos Reveco (36-2, 19). The bout is an excellent match up and is a rematch of another brilliant bout between two top Flyweights, each with a point to prove.
Today, ahead of that bout, Reveco took part in a public work out, albeit a very short work out that lasted only a few minutes and saw him spend much of that time skipping rope. The work out was a drastic comparison to his work out ahead of the first meeting with Ioka, in which he spent more than 90 minutes practising for the cameras.
Despite only giving a short work out Reveco and his team did say he was in great condition, in fact quotes suggest he was in the "best condition" of his career. Ioka's team however seemed to suggest that Reveco was nervous. Whether the Ioka team were right or wrong Reveco's trainer was confident in his charge suggesting the title was heading back to Argentina.
