Earlier today, in preparation for that bout, Jomthong took part in a public training session which included some light sparring.
The Thai said that he is just 1KG off the Super Featherweight limit and has lost 12KG's in the build up for this fight, though feels in great shape and won't be struggling with the weight. From what we understand the likeliness is that he will come into the ring as the "bigger" man against Uchiyama, who is a big Super Featherweight himself.
In regards to the fight Jomthong sounded very confident suggesting that there wasn't a lot of difference between Uchiyama and Daiki Kaneko, who Jomthong beat earlier this year. Whilst the records of Uchiyama and Kaneko are very different there is a lot of similarities between the two and it seems that Jomthong will probably use a gameplan similar to the one he used against Kaneko.
For fans wanting to watch this bout it will be broadcast in Japan on TV Tokyo and in Thailand on Channel 3 SD and we're expecting it to be a little bit special.
