This coming Saturday we see a number of world title bouts taking place in Japan, the most anticipated of which is the rematch between Takashi Uchiyama (24-1-1, 20) [内山 高志] and Jezreel Corrales (20-1-0-1, 8), with Corrales looking to make the first defense of the WBA Super Featherweight "super" title and Uchiyama looking to avenge his first loss.
Yesterday, yes on Christmas day, Corrales took part in a public work out and looked in incredible condition for the bout with impressive speed and a real hunger for the rematch with Uchiyama, as he looks to prove the win wasn't a fluke against an ill prepared champion.
At the work out Corrales hit the pads and looked in great shape whilst seeming to have further enhanced his defensive ability, seemingly building on his "El Invisible" skills, skills that confounded Uchiyama earlier this year along with Corrales's super quick hands and peculiar angles.
For those interested in the bout it will be screened at prime time on TV Tokyo as part of the "The best of Best" show from Watanabe promotions.
