Back in April we reported that the IBF had ordered their Super Flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas (26-1-1, 17) to begin negotiations for a mandatory title defense against Japan's Teiru Kinoshita (25-1-1, 8) [位帝里 木下]. Over the last few days it's been revealed that the bout has now got a set date, and venue, with the bout now set to be a support bout for the WBO Welterweight title bout between Manny Pacquiao and Jeff Horn.
The bout will be Ancajas' second defense, following a mismatch against Jose Alfredo Rodriguez in January, and it will see the talented Fuilipino southpaw looking to build on his impressive run. The talented "Pretty Boy" has won his last 13 bouts, with 12 stoppages, including a decision win over McJoe Arroyo and a stoppage over Inthanon Sithchamuang
As for Kinoshita the bout will be his second world title fight, following a loss to Zolani Tete in 2014 for this very same title. Since losing to Tete we've seen Kinoshita go on an unbeaten run of 6-0 (5). Sadly for Kinoshita that form is misleading and his only win of note was a controversial one over Cyborg Nawatedani.
