Earlier today fans in Osaka had a chance to see former WBA interim Flyweight champion Jean Piero Perez (20-7-1, 14) take part in a public training session ahead of his bout with Japanese star, and former 2-weight world champion, Kazuto Ioka (15-1, 9) on New Years Eve.
The Venezuelan visitor spent the session sparring for 2 rounds with Japanese Super Flyweight champion Sho Ishida, who defends his title on New Year Eve. Although Perez has been inactive he did look relatively sharp at the session and put that down to training in Panama where he has been given good training for this fight.
Despite looking relatively good in this training session he is still seen as a massive under-dog with the best odds available on him being 14/1 to upset Ioka, who is available an untouchable 1/41.
