Belgian world title challenger Stephane Jamoye (25-4, 15) was recently reported in the Japanese press as saying he was confident of beating Shinsuke Yamanaka (20-0-2, 15) when the two men meet this coming Wednesday.
Although we're unsure on the particular translation it seems that Jamoye has suggest he will "beat the hell" out of Yamanaka in rounds 1,2 and 3. This level of supreme confidence sounds good headlines though suggests that he's not quite aware of just how good Yamanaka is.
Equally confusing is the fact Jamoye seemed to indicate that he will be switching stances during the fight.
Jamoye, who is apparently friends with Japanese goal keeper Eiji Kawashima who plays for Standard Liege, has been in Japan with his fiancée who has been photographed an odd amount considering her role. Though from what we understand the two will be getting married later this year. Jamoye seems to be wanting to be a world champion for his wedding and his confidence could be built on that dream as opposed to really being that aware of good Yamanaka is.
