Yesterday Filipino prospect Jack Tepora (21-0, 16) fought outside of the Philippines for the first time, travelling to South Africa to take on heavy handed South African Lusanda Komanisi (21-4, 18).
On paper the bout was a massive step up for Tepora but it's a step up that he took in his stride, as he not only won, but did so with a tremendous knockout of the free swinging Africa puncher.
The fight had began with an exciting pace as the styles gelled almost immediately and ended with the same sort of excitement, as a single shot, a looping right hook, from Tepora in round 2 dropped Komanisi.
To his credit Komanisi managed to get to his feet, but his senses were scrambled and the referee saved him from further punishment as he was wobbling all over the place.
For those that missed the fight we've included Ryan Songalia's record of the finish.
