Over the weekend our good friend Mikko Marttinen informed us that the next bout featuring Indonesian teenage sensation Iwan Zoda (9-1, 8) has been pushed back to April 2nd, though will still take place in Pontiak, where he has begun to make a name for himself with the local papers reporting his past few bouts.
The youngster, who was one of the Asian break fighters last year, has started to generate a following, both at home and internationally, and whilst no opponent has yet been named for his next bout it does seem like the youngster has the potential to be one of the more notable Indonesian fighters and will be stepping up from his last bout.
Aged 19 Zoda is one of the more notable teenagers in Asian boxing and he's now being guided well with his team developing his skills and experience in the correct manner rather than throwing him to the wolves, as happens to many fighters in Indonesia.
We hope to be able to update you on Zoda's next bout when details are available, and knowing Mikko he will keep us all informed as and when more information is confirmed.
For those who aren't sure what the fuss is about, we have included Zoda's most notable win to date below, his second but with Thailand's Petchchorhae Kokietgym [เพชรจอแฮ ก่อเกียรติยิม].
