Recently crowned WBC Light Flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (6-0, 5) has been given the honour of throwing the first pitch at an upcoming baseball game in Japan.
The game, on May 1st will be held in Yokohama and see Inoue taking to a somewhat less familiar sporting field than the one he has made his name in.
Although we're not baseball fans by any means we know what an honour it is to throw a ceremonial first pitch and this news seems to have been spread across the pages of many Japanese sports papers earlier today.
As we're not fans of baseball we are unsure what the actual game will be though believe it's part of "Kanagawa Children's Day" and parents and children are encouraged to come along. With Naoya well established relationship with his trainer and father Shingo Inoue it seems he was the perfect man to throw the pitch and the perfect example of what a parent-sibling team can achieve together.
