The KPBF have announced that they will be hosting a PABA "interim" Bantamweight title bout on September 11th, with the bout set to be aired over youtube. Adding yet another fight to a huge boxing weekend.
The bout will see Woo Hyun Kim (6-1, 1) [김우현] defending the title, which he won last time out, against Jong Min Jung (7-7, 2) [정종민].
The 19 year old champion suffered his only loss in July 2015, losing to Yo Han Bae who subsequently claimed the KBF Super Flyweight title and sparred with Japanese sensation Naoya Inoue. Since that loss he has become a KPBF fighter and has beaten Michael Barnor, this past May, to claim his title. Although a relatively unknown fighter Kim has shown some genuine potential, though it's hope maturity will lead to more physical strength and power.
Tghe 29 year old challenger has been around the scene for a while, debuting almoist 8 years ago and originally he really struggled to put results together, losing 4 of his first 6 and 7 of his first 11. During that struggle however he did claim the South Korean Bantamweight title and gave future world title challenger Jung Oh Son a relatively decent fight. He's now unbeaten in 3 and has claimed the PABA "interim" Featherweight title, a title he defended once.
As for those wanting to watch, the bout is supposed to be streamed on youtube however no link has been provided yet for the show.
We have included footage of both men below.
