The bout in question will see Ryo Takenaka (11-2-1, 6) attempting to upset reigning champion Hisashi Amagasa (27-4-2, 18), a man looking for his third defense this year.
At the weigh in both men looked great but there was a clear difference in height with Amagasa, a freakish looking Featherweight at 5'10", being notably taller than his challenger. As well as the height and reach advantages of Amagasa he also has the experience edge and power edge.
For Takenaka however this is a huge opportunity to score the biggest win of his career and likely earn himself a world ranking, afterall Amagasa is world ranked by all 4 world title bodies. Whether that incentive will be able to drive Takenaka on to victory is doubtful though he'll know there is nothing to lose but a lot to win.
