Earlier today we were informed that the scheduled Japanese Light Welterweight title fight between defending champion Hiroki Okada (10-0, 8) and Masayoshi Kotake (9-9-2, 5), scheduled for July 4th, has now been called off.
Unfortunately Okada has suffered a fracture to his right hand in training and as a result has had to pull out of the contest.
The rest of the card will still go on as planned however it's now looking like a very weak show by Kadoebi, with this bout originally being the main event and the only really interesting match up on the show.
From what we understand Okada damaged his hand sparring with stablemate Yoshitaka Kato, a teak tough fighter who has formerly held the OPBF and Japanese Lightweight titles.
