On October 13th we'll see super-prospect Hinata Maruta (5-0, 4) [丸田 陽七太] return to the ring as he battles for the OPBF Bantamweight title. Rather than waiting for the shot to come around Maruta has been a busy boy and has been in the USA since late June as part of a special training camp, taking part in his 5th such training camp on American soil
The brilliantly talented Maruta, still just 20 years old, has been not only taking part in training sessions in the US but also contnuing to get used to US conditions, likely ahead of US bouts in the future, and attended a small local tournament further soaking in the culture and local boxing scene.
As for the training Maruta has done 25 rounds of sparring, with each round have a specific focus, and rather than running up a lot of rounds he is concentrating on having quality rounds.
The gifted youngster will return from the US next week, and will likely be ringside for the upcoming OPBF Bantamweight title fight between Hidenori Otake (28-2-3, 12) [大竹 秀典] and Kinshiro Usui (27-5, 11) [臼井 欽士郎], who will face off on July 17th. With that bout deciding who Maruta will face in October.
