For Kimura, who has lost 2 of his last 3, including his last 2 bouts with Filipinos, this is a step down however it is now a much more winnable bout than a contest with the fringe world class Kogawa. For Fajardo however this is a great chance to make an impact in Japan and could well see him becoming a regular visitor to the country which has shown a willingness to associate it's self with visitors who try to win, such as Mark John Yap. Although Fajardo is 0-2-1 in his last 3 he is under-rated and, when prepared, appears to be a real nightmare to fight, as we suspect we'll see here.
This bout is remains the co-feature on the show with the headline bout being a potentially explosive encounter between Shinya Iwabuchi (24-5, 20) and Ryusei Yoshida (26-6, 13). Although neither bout is a major bout both are solid looking 8 rounders and both should deliver real excitement for fans who attend the show
We have been told that there is a promising story developing as to why Kogawa has been removed from the bout though that's a story for another time.
