Tomorrow Japanese fight fans will get the chance to see Hozumi Hasegawa (35-5, 15) [長谷川 穂積] battle against heavy handed WBC Super Bantamweight champion Hugo Ruiz (36-3, 32) in what looks to be a huge ask for the popular Hasegawa.
Not only is the former 2-weight world champion well past his best but he was also dwarfed at the weigh in earlier today with Ruiz looking several weight classes bigger than the Japanese fighter, who is looking to become a 3-weight world champion.
Like many the bookies see this as a relatively foregone conclusion with Ruiz a 1/5 favourite whilst Hasegawa is available as high 6/1 in some places, though is widely available at 5/1. Sadly only the "To Win" market is available, though many have suggested that Ruiz by stoppage is the most logical outcome
