We are sad to report that former WBC Flyweight champion Malcolm Tunacao (35-3-3, 20) is currently in hospital following being stabbed "many times" in Cebu City.
The Shinsei gym fighter, who last fought in September 2014 when he beat Ryuta Otsuka, is thought to have been stabbed by his live in partner following a dispute regarding an affair.
Although the injuries were serious it now appears that Tunacao, who is known for beating Medgoen Singsurat back in 2000 and being stopped the following year by Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, is conscious and out of the woods with the former fighter expected to make a statement to police later this week.
