Inthanon Sithchamuang it was then the turn of the unbeaten, and much touted, Harmonito Dela Torre (12-0, 7).
Dela Torre, widely regarded as one of the most promising and most exciting Filipino prospects lived up the the hype in style as he stopped Indonesian journeyman Yakobus Heluka (7-6) inside a round.
The fight saw Heluka starting fast and throwing wild and reckless shots. Although the Indonesian did start fast he did walk on to a nice counter early. The first counter show didn't seem to effect Heluka but it did seem to foreshadow the ending that came less than 3 minutes later with Dela Torre landing a gorgeous counter shot that left Heluka out for the count.
Whilst we didn't expect this one to last long, especially when you consider that Heluka was stopped in Japan just a few weeks ago it was still an impressive KO from the 20 year old Filipino dubbed "El Huracan de Gensan".
Although Dela Torre did get the highlight reel KO he does still have improvements to make. Thankfully he, and his team, do seem to realise this and he has come along very well since he last fought in Macau last November. If the improvements keep coming then he has the potential to be a real fixture on the world stage.
