Popular Indonesian slugger Daud Cino Yordan (33-3-0-1, 24) will make his ring return on June 6th as he battles against Ghana's Maxwell Awuku (40-2-1, 26) at the DBL Arena in Surabaya. The bout will be for the interim WBO Asia Pacific and WBO Africa Lightweight titles with the intention being to move Yordan towards a WBO world title fight later in the year.
The Indonesian was originally announced to be in action in April, against Josh King, though that bout fell through and left little trace. Thankfully though it does seem that this bout with Awuku is set in stone with a all the details now made public and the bout now less than a month away.
According to our good friend Mikko Marttinen the undercard will feature 18 year old puncher Iwan Zoda (5-1, 4) and southpaw hopeful Defry Palulu (11-1, 10), both up against international opponents as well as a number of all-Indonesian under-card bouts. At the moment however these bouts haven't been officially announced.
Sadly for Yordan inactivity has been an issue and this will be his first bout since last December, when he stopped Ronald Pontillas. For those who missed that fight we've included it below.
