Tomorrow fans in Camp Zama will get the chance to see former OPBF and Japanese Light Middleweight champion Charles Bellamy (25-3-1, 17) return to the ring for the first time since last November, and fight in Japan under his birth name. The heavy handed fighter, who famously dropped Jermell Charlo back in 2014, will be up against Japanese ranked Elfelos Vega (6-3, 4), who is himself originally from Colombia.
Today the two men made weigh for their Light Middleweight bout with the taller Vega being the heavier man on the scales, and Bellamy making the weight with genuine ease.
Coming in to this one both men are ranked by the JBC at 154lbs and both will be aware that a win will kick start their careers which have faltered recently.
For Bellamy it's been a case of inactivity, out of the ring issues and problems with his gym whilst Vega has lost 2 of his last 3 and can ill afford a another loss here.
