The better known of those contenders is China's former WBC champion Xiong Zhao Zhong (27-7-1, 14) [熊朝忠], who is said to have offered to travel to Thailand for his world title challenge and would be available relatively soon. The bout would, potentially, see Knockout avenge the loss of Petchmanee Kokietgym, who was beaten by the Chinese fighter earlier this month.
The other contender is OPBF champion Tsubasa Koura (11-0, 8) [小浦 翼], who will defend his title on November 11th against Masataka Taniguchi (8-1, 6) [谷口 将隆] and then chase a world title fight. The offer here is dependent on Koura beating Taniguchi, and would see him getting his shot in 2018, supposedly in March. What is notable about this offer is that Koura's team are attempting to get Knockout over to Japan for the contest, suggesting that relatively money is on offer for this bout.
What happens next is yet to be seen, though it is good to see notable names now chasing the unbeaten champion.
