The repots suggest that the date for the bout will be May 20th, a Saturday, and that the bout will take place in Tokyo, with no specific venue being named in the reports.
The agreement between the two sides appears concrete with the WBC removing Murata from their rankings recently and listed as "NOT AVAILABLE", due to be listed for a WBA Interim title fight.
Now whilst the bout is expected to be for the "regular" title the terms maybe agreed that the bout could be for the "interim" title in the unlikely case of a draw in next weekend's bout between "Super" champion Gennady Golovkin and "regular" champion Danny Jacobs. If that happens then the terms of the greement between the two fighters may end up forcing them to fight for the interim title as a contingency.
It's currently unclear whether the bout will be a stand alone contest, or whether to will see Fuji TV putting on a bumper card with both Naoya Inoue (12-0, 10) [井上 尚弥] and Akira Yaegashi (25-5, 13) [八重樫 東] both expected to defend their titles in May as well. If Fuji are going to do an FES style show with a triple header then that'd be great nice to Japanese fans, however splitting the three men over 2 shows certainly wouldn't be a problem, with Inoue and Murata both having sizable fans bases who would likely tune in for both cards.
