Sunday has been a busy day for Japanese boxing fans with shows across the country. For fans in Yachiyo, Chiba, there was a notable comeback for a local fighter who had spent close to 3 years out of the ring follow set backs in his last two bouts.
That fighter was Atsuki Hayashi (7-2-1, 2) [林 涼樹] who managed to return to the ring with a wide 6 round decision win over Naoya Nishimura (4-9-1, 3) [西村 直哉].
Nishimura attempted to set the pace for the bout, and in the opening round he did have some success, however Hayashi settled into the bout and went on to dominate the rest of the contest, scoring a near shut out in front of his home crowd.
This was Hayashi first bout since losing to Naota Uebayashi back in May 2013 and we expect it won't take as long to see him back in the ring against.
In the main under-card bout Yuta Saito (10-7-2, 7) [齊藤 裕太] over-came Corrales Kawashimo (7-7-1, 2) [コラレス カワシモ] with a 6 round decision win.
