Today the two men weighed in for the bout with both men making weight for the contest.
On the scales today the champion was the heavier man, coming in at aroudn 134.5lbs and looking in great shape. Aged 35 it's clear that Arakawa is still hungry for success and he has really shown that in recent times, winning his last 3 bouts after a terrible 2-5 run between a technical loss to Daniel Estrada in 2012 and a cometitive defeat to Rikki Naito in 2015.
As for Bodiongan he came in well under the limit, in fact he wasn't much over 131.75lbs. That weight shows that he's not a natural Lightweight and that's been the case through his career, with many of his bouts taking place at 130lbs, and he has only come in over 130lbs in one other bout, his most recent one against Bryan Macamay.
For fans wanting to watch this bout it will be featuring on subscription service boxingraise, we believe on a delayed basis.
