Ancajas, fighting against Thailand's Inthanon Sithchamuang (20-7, 11) looked sharp from the off with his quick hands, lovely sharp combinations and fantastic skills. The power and skills of the promising Filipino were simply too much for Inthanon who was dropped hard in the opening round and shaken just on the bell.
Although Inthanon survived the opening round he really never recovered from it and was looking groggy at the start of round 2. Ancajas seemed to know that his man was hurt and after landing a series of hard jabs he then looked for the finish which came at 1:30 of round 2 after Inthanon was dropped for the second time.
Ancajas may have had his power questioned by some in the Filipino press though on this performance it certainly seems he has got stinging power and the speed and skills to make the most of it.
Whilst we accept that the 22 year old Ancajas is in a tough division, Super Flyweight, we do think that on this performance he has the skills and style to pick up a world title somewhere down the line.
