Today those two men took part in their weigh in and both looked in great shape for the bout, which is being fought at a contracted 107lbs.
For Alimento the bout sees him back on the road just 9 months after his career defining, though tragic, win over Chanachai CFreshmart in Thailand for the WBC Youth Minimumweight title. The Filipino is currently world ranked by the IBF but will be risking that ranking here. As for Taniguchi the bout sees him looking to build on his record and scored a 5th win in just over 6 months as he looks to climb the rankings at an incredible speed.
Also taking part in the weigh in today for the same under-card was the pairing of Shuichiro Yoshino (2-0, 1) [吉野 修一郎] and Kenta Onjo (6-2, 3) [恩庄 健太] who will be in the co-feature of the show, headlined by an OPBF Featherweight title bout between Ryo Takenaka (14-3-1, 8) [竹中 良] and Randy Braga (19-1-1, 5).
