The Flyweight champion, who takes on unbeaten Nicaraguan destroyer Roman Gonzalez (39-0, 33) on September 5th, was looking more ripped than usual and appeared to know it as he posed for the picture showing off his 6-pack and arms.
Although not known as a power puncher it does seem like Yaegashi has been working on increasing his strength and power. In some ways it may not be a stupid idea and with everyone knowing Yaegashi will get dragged into a fight with Gonzalez it may well do Yaegashi some favours to have more spite in his shots. On the other hand the muscles may come at a cost of working on his fitness which will be vital going in to this bout.
With little over a week to go until Yaegashi faces Gonzalez we're patiently awaiting to see what Yaegashi is like in his opening training session. If he's as good as he looks right here than he may well manage to upset Gonzalez and score a career defining win over a man some regard as one of the top pound-for-pound fighterson the planet.
